I got a new 04 Kawasaki Prairie 700 and I really like it. Very happy with the purchase.
The rincon and rubicon are two very very different machines. The rubicon is a larger, more powerful version of what you are used to on the rancher. Its got stiff suspsension, is geared low, and isnt a speed demon. It works hard, but its not as at home on the trail.
The rincon is a cadillac. Its made for cruising trails and thats pretty much it. It lacks big bore power and has a very soft suspsension. The 3 speed auto trans with torque conerter is not the best suited for towing and hauling work.
It depends on what you want to use the machine for. If you are a workaholic, the rubi is the better bet. If the only work your atv sees is hauling you around to and from camp then the rincon may be the better bet.
Dont rule out the other manufacturers though. There are many options outsude of the honda world. You even get disc brakes with everyone else.

Welcome to the forum. My advise if you are looking for a new quad is, don't be color blind. There are so many Utility (and sport) quads out there now that you have to try a bunch of them to find out what YOU like best. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the Honda's, I'm just saying, don't limit yourself. Unless you own a boat load of Honda stock or something.
