Default Drain Plug

A few days ago I went to tighten my gear case drain plug and the head snapped off with the rest of the plug stuck. No oil has leaked out and i was wondering if I can just leave the plug stuck inside and not worry about it for now. Thanks

Even though it is not leaking, I would replace/fix it. Rather do it now, then be screwed while out riding and having it leak.

Don't wait, get it fixed now. Otherwise it will come loose at the worst possible time.

Better replace it now. The flange on the bolt head is the only thing that keeps the threads in tension, ...if the head is missing, the bolt isnt tight anymore.

hi there ,
dont know if you have access to a dremel or an other small tool that is able to cut a slot across the broken bolt , cut it wide and deep enough to lightly chap in a plain screw driver . The other option is to drill a hole in the centre of broken bolt and buy a set of easy outs , or stud removers , hope this helps mate , happy trails ,john
