Yeah, I was one of those that burried a D-9, now that is a real experience to get unstuck. That was a lot of work, and very dirty. Only think that could have been worse was if we had thrown a track.
You are right each has it's place in Alaksa. When you get inot the "Tussoks", aren't we politicall correct. it is not much fun. I would only have to rolled once before I had turned back.
Never have ridden on a Glacier. But have been on them, and am not stupid enough to go and look for Cravasses. I would probably find one. Many years ago, when I had two good legs, I did some climbing, and that was just to scary for me. Glad I finailly got an excuse not to do it any more.
This is pretty good country up here, and not too many people usually.
