I have a 2001 Yamaha Wolverine and I am planning to buy a 48" warn plow with a mounting kit, I have a 1500 super winch. What do I have to do to connect the plow to the whinch so I can raise it with the whinch controlls.

 

First look for a question mark shaped piece of metal at the end of your winch cable. It's called a hook. Push the out button on your winch controls located somewhere on your handlebars. This will unwind your cable and hook at the same time and it will start to unravel on the ground near your plow. Now pick up the hook and HOOK IT to your plow (look for a hole that says HOOK HERE) If you can't find a place that looks like it should hooked to then just hook it anywhere. Push the in button on your winch controls that are located on your handlebars. This should LIFT your plow. You will notice if you try it that pushing the out button will lower the plow. If this doesn't work get back to me.

 

Allthough I don't have as colorful description, whatever you do get a 60" plow or you will regret it.

 

I put a pully($4) on a chain from the upper bumper bar to get some upward lift. I personally wouldn't buy a 48" plow, the 60" is the way to go.

 

Like Pakrat said. Just hook up to the plow and you should be all set. I use a D-ring that I leave on the plow...I just hook my winch hook to the D-ring and off I go.

 

Ok I ordered a warn 48" plow and I think since warn makes whinches it will be explanatory to see how to hook it up. thanks for the help.
