I own an 04 big bear and am very content with it. Right now its out of commission cuz i took on water and got it in the engine but it will be back on the clock soon. Its got plenty of power, an extremely low first gear to pull anything, and an auto clutch system so you dont have to worry about a belt slipping when u hit water. Like everyone has said, it gets up to about 50 or so but if u think about it, how often to do over 30 in a trail? I love it and would reccommend this bike to anyone. Very reliable, very powerful, and the pushbutton 4 wheel drive is great. Good luck on your choice and happy trailing.
