what kind of paint should i use to paint my rims?- im gonna paint them a gloss black

get them powdercoated...it'll last a lot longer then paint

 

If you want them to last ... Powder coating is the only way to go!

 

but what kind of paint will last the longest? i wanna do it myself i dont wanna pay a bunch of moneyto get them powdercoated

 

Epoxy paint would be the best way if you want to do it your self.

I'll second the epoxy paint... I once chemically stripped, primed and epoxy painted (boat bottom paint for salt water) a set of white steel spokes for my jeep that was worked hard (mud/sand/rocks) every weekend. The paint held up very well imho... probably a lot cheaper than powdercoat, but expensive as far as paint goes-

I just used appliance paint form ace. It is an epoxy paint, but not as expensive as a commercial or industrial paint.
