i have a buddy with a big bear but his is 2 wheel drive but has a winch it is a power house as far a tourque goes. we had a trailer made out of a truck bed and me and about 4 friends rode back up a old loging trail to cut some wood for a fire so we had about half the bed full plus all of us had he had no problem.the only thing i don't like it's to dang slow.

Well, Not bragging by any means, but mine is prolly the most ridiculos on this forum. Mine impresses me for how durable it really is. Its on mile 730 right now and I have only broken a tie rod end. Mine has, Highlifter lift kit, Lift springs, Highlifter lit wheels, HMF exhaust, K&N filter, FloorBoards, 28-12-12 Maxxis MudZilla's all the way around (with 20psi) , Winch, Horn, and Fog Lights. There realy more work bikes than play bikes but I have no complaints about mine, Its really been a great bike. Be sure to do some waterproofing if you plan on playing to too much mud or water as they tend to cut out some when the going gets deep. I say Get One!

i bought my big bear on 01 and it was my first quad. i only owned atc's for years! and still do. i was a little dissapointed with the gear ratio at first, i have a dry river bed right by myhouse and it is full of trails and tracks, the terain is sand, river rock and hard pack dirt. with my BB i can keep up with just about any thing out there like my frends 05 banchee. ieven jump twice as far as him! the only performance mods i do is 100LL octain airplain fuel and it MAKES a differance. so people will say it can burn out a piston but 4 years now and not ONE problem. i plan to put some 27" 589 titans on soon. now dont get me wrong i stand no chance on open straits with any sport quad. knowing what kind of abuse i give it i am happy with it, and would not traid it for any sport quad.

The BB can really use IRS. But I could not be happier with the bigbear. I like lomax have done a bunch of mods. Since I put the HMF on the machine it gave it a whole new attitude and will climb a tree if ya want it to. Yes they dont go fast but who goes fast in mud? If you want a low end grunt work horse the Big Bear is a good choice.
I have been through 4'-6' of water. I have buried it in slop. I have past bigbores when there belts slip. If and when a new MFG makes a bigbore manual thats when I will change to a new bike.
It's a good beginner bike.
