Great tire. Wear very well, even with road riding and seem to do very good in the muck. Slightly harsh ride on the trail, but certainly not unbearable. My friend has them on his Kodiak and he seems very happy with them. Kinda heavy.

 

What do you meen, Kinda Heavy. They are supposed to be some of the lightest tires out there. Did I fall for a marketing scam?

 

I suppose you could say they are on the lighter end of the spectrum for the hardcore mud tires. Here are some of the numbers I put together a while ago while researching:

I like those mudlites my self

 

The 589's do well in mud,water,snow,ice,on the trail, in the creeks, & up hills.

However, they do not like the pavement or roots.( I do not ride on the pavement & roots are not to much of an issue for me )

So, 2 thumbs up on the 589's for me.

 

589's are the best. They might not be the biggest mud tire out there but they work good.



Vampires gotta be the best though. my friend i ride with has a 87 honda 300 with 27 in. super swamper vampires and i tell you what, that thing goes awsome and climbs the hills as good as a sport quad.

 

I am still with the mudlites.
