You guys are right about the speed aspect. A friend has a Honda sport bike of some kind (shows you how much I keep track of that stuff - ha) and he wipes me off the road when we go out riding. He does a wheelie every time he takes off. But, when we come to a bunch of rocks in the road (like when the road is actually a stream bed in the spring), he starts banging and scraping his chain wheel (and breaking into a sweat) while I just 'drive on' like it's just another day (which it is). I think his is 'only' a 300 or so, but when it comes to speed, he leaves me in the dust.

But as I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm perfectly happy at 40 or so mph. I can get just as killed at that speed as I could at 65 -

You better find a way to swing that BF650 deal before it's too late DustyRussian! Sounds like a great price. I just love blasting down straightaways at up to 70 on my BF750. . . you're just gonna love that Kawi twin!!!

I got me kids a suzuki Eiger 400 for me kids and they enjoy it emensely! Polaris 600 is what I have!

Get the bigger one--for example the owners manual says to go about 12 inches of water. Polaris 600 is over 24 inches!!

Later and enjoy

10 years ago, the Honda 300 Fourtrax was the biggest (there may have been bigger, I'm just making a point) utility out there. It would go through just about anything and haul almost anything you wanted to haul. Now we have 660's, 750's 800's etc, and they are the baddest quad in the woods. But you know what, my old 300 Fourtrax will still keep up with the big boys out in the woods. No, it can't go 60 miles per hour down a dirt road, but that isn't what it was made for.
The 400 class utilities are exceptional whether gear or belt driven. The big boars just have more power and maybe a few more gadgets to attract the buyers.
I bought 2 Grizzlies because I could afford it, but if I was on a more tight budget, I would have bought a Kodiak and I know I would have been just as happy.
It all comes down to personal preferance. Some people just have to have the biggest quad in the woods. It's like ***** envey, it doesn't matter how big it is, the fun factor in using it is still the same.

Yeah, you'll have a blast on whatever you buy, but I doubt that many of these guys that have big bores now would have as much fun on a smaller quad if they got back on one. The power is addictive!!!

Yeah, horsepower, like money, is addictive. Once you have a lot of it, going back down the ladder is killer. But if you're horsepower poor, it's like money poor. You don't miss it cuz you never had it. You just dream of what it would be like.

Thanks for all the help. I'm working on getting my Banshee sold. I'll let you know what happens.
