Default 450 /400 kodiak ?

I've got the 10's on the front and 12's on back. You"ll be able to use your stock wheels with no problems. The steering is somewhat different than with the stock tires, but not enough to give up these tires. I played with the Toe settings and found that about 1/8 to a 1/4 inch Toe-in gave the best ride and handling. These are some great tires and seem to wear good. I really dont ever use 4WD with these tires much, it never needs it with plain ol trail riding. I think you"ll be more than happy with DD's. I hear they wear a lot longer than ITP mudlites. Good luck.

Default 450 /400 kodiak ?

I'm in the middle of purchasing a 2003 kodiak 450 from a private seller, can any of you tell me where the VIN# can be found??

Also I'm a rookie, what should I be checking out on this machine?

Thanks for any help.

if you don't mud alot then get the 25's. the 26's do take away some power and add rolling weight which is harder on the brakes. also with the taller tire you have a taller sidewall, which increases your risk of getting a flat in the rocky stuff. all this is my opinion based on my experience. i would stay with the 25's and be able to spin them faster and stop without mashing on the brakes.
