Default warn 2.5ci winch problem

Hello all, new here great site and useful info so far....but I need a little help/insight.......i am having a problem with my recently aquired winch......it was working fine all day and when I went to rewrap the cable i pushed the in button and nothing, not a noise or anything.....push the out button, cable starts pulling in......(scrathes head) I went over all connections and they seem tight and dirt free???? any ideas would be appreciated......

Cliff, not sure but Im gonna offer my 2 cents. I'm assuming your Warn came with a contact relay box. Can you bypass it? Direct connect your rocker switch to battery and see what happens. If all works, you have a relay problem. If that doesn't fix it it may be in the rocker switch itself. Those are the first places I would look 'cause they are the cheapest and easiest to fix/eliminate. Winch--->switch--->battery with no interruptions and see what happens. If your still SOL buy a new switch. Good luck
