Default tire width question

i am going to get new tires for my king, either kenda executioners or dirt devil xt's. i am going to get 27" size. my question is which do you guys suggest and i am thinking of goiong with a 10" width on all 4 corners instead of 10" front and 12" rears. i mostly ride wet trails and sometimes sand dunes. but i alsways go for any sloppy mudhloe i can find. i 'm not sure if i really need that extra width on the back, thats why i was going to put 10's on all four corners. thanks for your input everyone!

Default tire width question

I run my '02 Rancher with Mud Bugs 27x12x12 on the rears and 27x10x12 on the fronts. I had to get new rear rims so they would fit but other than that they are great tires for anything I have hammered through.

Default tire width question

On my Vinson, I went UP from 25-10 to 26-12 in the rear and UP from 25-8 to 26-10 in the front. Now I wish i had just stayed with 10 in the back and 8 in the front (the 26 part is ok). I think it takes too much power from the bike, is harder to turn (especially in deep mud) and since the bike is wider, it's a real pain when you're riding in those trails that already have fairly deep "grooves" from regular bikes because you have to straddle the grooves and always end up having one side of the bike "fall" into one side of the groove or the other.
