Default Splicing a warn rocker to an existing winch

I have a 3000lb moose winch and from the winch there 2 wires one is blue and one is yellow. There are 2 wires comming from a metal box munted under my seat, I assume this box is wierd to my battery, one wire is black the other is red. They all conect to the origional switch. I purchaced a new warn rocker, It has a green wire and a black wire that is wrapped in heavy duty plastic. There is also a red wire that is by itself. can anyone tell me how to do it?

Default Splicing a warn rocker to an existing winch

The green and black wires coming from the rocker go to the contactor (solenoid). The red wire from the rocker is the power supply for the rocker itself. Warn recommends that the red wire be spliced to a existing circuit that is hot in the key-on position only, but many people (myself included) wire it (the red wire) directly to the battery. This makes the rocker switch hot at all times and will allow winch operation even if you don't have the keys to the quad. Either way works just fine, it's a matter of personal choice.
