Tug of war

I'm thinking the YFM200 Yamaha Blaster (any year will do)
That spunky lil quad would drag a bomb 800, Polaris 800 or any other quad backwards no prob. I took mine to a pull comp one time and hooked up to a sled designed for tractor pull comps, the lil Blaster was like the engine that could! It drug that sled past the 300 line while everyone was standing up cheering! No one could beleive their eyes! I disconnnected from the sled then promptly did some victory burnouts throwing a roost that touched the moon then rained down, the crowd went wild! many beer kegs poped in unison then the party ensued, I was instaly surrounded by hot babes like you see on espn handing the trophys to the winners.
then I woke up and wondered WTF was the question again?

my buddy and i had well a few to many to drink one night (i know dumb moment) anyways we hooked up his 700 polaris and my 500 arctic cat and both of them sat there and power hopped cause they both dig down about an inch and they can't pull each other out of the rut.if i hooked my 650 cat against my lil 87 250 suzuki 4x4 then you will pull something but your best bet is to see which ones do the best in pulling competitions and well i think the heavier machines usually do the best.

The polaris will come be the best in this due to first and the most obvious, their weight. Then because they are geared for pulling. Next because they come with the biggest and most aggressive stock tires, along with the OL XT models. This is what the polaris machines are designed for work, pulling, utility jobs, etc. Not the most powerfull, but the best puller.
Next would be the Arctic Cats, second to the polaris in weight, and also designed for work. Then the OL 800, followed by the jap bikes.

before this gets into a pointless bragging contest, I have yet to see a tug of war won by anything other than traction
most atvs will run out of traction before power, so this question should not be which ATV, but what tires or something along those lines

True, or better yet a sled pull. In stock form the popo has the best tires, again only the OL XT model have the same, but their weight and gearing is different. Tug of war most times will result in the two machines not moving anywhere but down, no matter the cc or tire size. I think he means overall pulling power.

No worries, I understood in my first post. My family is in the logging business. The popo's have proved themselves to be one pulling machine in our experience. There are several quads in our business, however, we use them for leisurely riding also.

Not only tires, but alot would have to do with trannys. Belt drives, like my V2, would suck. Dont get me wrong, i love my V2, but then again, i didnt buy it to play tug of war!. It does as good as the other guy in other categories
