brute 750i?

Redgoblin, you must have missed my post about my friends KQ that goes with me on many VERY difficult trails. we have done the Golden Spike trail (along with the Poison Spider and Gold Bar Rim trails) at Moab (rated as the most difficult ATV trail in Moab by the local atv club there).
i think i can compare.

I'm talking about speed-wise, if a guy on a 750 and a guy on a King are trying to race a system of small, tighter trails, there's no way the Brute keeps up simply because the King will lose it in the corners. If that's not what you meant, I apologize.

gotcha. i dunno about that. we don't race on our trails, just getting back to the truck is enough of a challange. we have spare gas, tools, usually a handgun, water, lunch, and whatever else we gotta have to make getting back to the truck pretty likely, so a race would not be a real good idea.

I don't want to ruffle anymore feathers than I already have, but compared to the competition, basically yes. Now, if you only like to go fast in a straight line and don't care about taking speed into and through turns, or if you don't find yourself in too many off-camber situations (sideways on a hill), then the Brute would probably do fine.

Minky, you might wanna ask some people that have ridden one more than a mile or two. i've seen some serious off cambers with mine. it does just as well as the KQ, although the 750/650i thing does have some differences.
internet wisdom and acual experience are very different things. i've seen the BF and KQ side by side on the most difficult atv trail in Moab. it boils down to the rider.

cant you guys kiss and make up? sound like a bunch little girls arguing over barbies. put your money were you mouth is and run em. and i guarentee red goblin would eat that brute for dinner on anything but an open field straight race.

well if you want a polaris 800's opinion( i know you dont lol. ) my best friend has a 05 bf 750 and its a fast machine does wheelies and all that. now thays about the only good points i can say. ive ridden w/ this machine and a 06 650 and both have had sevral o.heat problems and now the front end on the 750 is starting to make some grinding noises. we've ridden these machines hard and he's had more problems w/ his then mine. i have eaten a cv joint my own stupid fault. oh yea since i've put 27" tires on i can walk by him in a race. a true account of these 2 wheelers.

mykool, i got better places to go with my atv (like Moab, Colorado, or Idaho). if you guys wanna get beat, come on up, but i bet you gotta be in school soon. and just what is this "tight wooded trail" racing i hear about now and then. that's when we slow down and enjoy the ride, not try to get it over as fast as possible. but if you wanna invent a place you can beat a brute i suppose it would be something like that.
a quote from a guy on Highlifter. "i finally found a fix for the KQ lag. i bought a Brute"
Stendori: are you saying you have the only sp800 ever made that can beat a Brute? good luck with that.
i'll say this again. all of the modern big bores (except the Bomb 800, it smokes everyone) are close enough to equal on the trail that the best rider will win on whatever he is riding. everybody has their favorite features that makes one particular brand or model their favorite, but that doesn't make it automatically better than any one else's.
