i agree with texasroadlawyer, but for those of you who dont already know. for honda's brake issue, just consult high lifter, they have what you need. after that you will have the best 4x4 known to man if you ask me, due to the fact that "I" want to do the gear changin not some rickety belt and pulley system!!

Rickety belt and pulley system? LOL You don,t Sled much do you. Whats a 4 stroke thumper of a quad have for HP and RPM? A powerful quad is considered 30-50 HP with a low rpm. In sled terms belts run 100-140 hp two stroke sleds at high rpm. Belts are over kill on ATV compared to what they were designed to originally do. Thats why you don,t even check or look at a belt more than once every 2 years on ATVs.

Shifting on a sport ATV maybe fun but on a Utility ATV it,s just a chore I,d rather just avoid.

They said the XT's were there best sellers of all sizes. I think people are going to be suprised on the numbers at the end of the year. BRP makes quads that people want, power, comfort, reliable with long warranty, 4- 2 up sizes, XT's with all options, and is easy to use.

I live in a fairly small market, I'm about 40 minutes north of Sacramento but the local guy here has a small BRP shop in downtown Marysville, they got in a fresh lot of 07's about a month ago. When I took my 800 in for service and returned two days later they had already sold two 650 XT's.......this is a real mom and pop place charging tax, freight and set up! Thats not too bad! The word is getting out there, I've gotten some pretty strange looks the few places I've been so far, people aren't sure what the heck to make of it. Of course mine looks even more unconventional then a standard 800.

Spoken like someone that has seen and never owned. I have over 1000 miles on my tranny/belt. I give it the worst possiable abuse. In fact ive had to replace a ton of other parts on the wheeler, like my whole front end and shafts. But I've yet to replace a belt. My four wheeler is underwater more than above and still no slipege. KNOCK ON WOOD.

Funny how you own a bomb, and can't prove the paperwork. Come on man, who cares you asked who made the best. But your going to get a bunch of biased people, and a bunch who aren't. All's that really matters is personal satisfaction. You could get the the sapposed worst atv out there, and have it last forever. It's just how it goes. Go find out ride and test'em all. And buy what you think would be best for you. Don't get me wrong input is always appreciated.

I am not sure how many pages back that motof150 quote was from, all prefferences aside there are a lot more than 3 gear driven quads still on the market. I think all but the rubicon and maybe one of the ranchers, are all gear driven, the Rincon 680 is a 3 speed auto. There are also the BRP made John deers that all but 2 of the models are gear driven and the BUCK 500 XT I think its called is a 5 speed auto gear driven quad. Granted those old JD green traxters and quest bombs are on there way out, but for now there are a lot of choices still out there in the gear driven arena. I do tend to agree that a gear driven quad would be prefferable to a belt if pulling heavy work duty is its main purpose. I have smoked a few belts over the years trying to pull to much weight and yes I was in low range. I never broke a gear pulling anything. Never have I had a gear driven quad fail in the drive train. That said all the top performance quads these days are belt drive, I think do to weight and maybe ease of use comes into play there too.

The best utility quad depends on what you want to do with it.If i wanted to buy one that some one eles would use I would get a small one and not a Polaris the Little EIGER 400 or the small Honda and if it had to pull a load the outty 400.If I wanted an easy to ride all day ATV the 700 grzz is what I want mostly because of the PS. If I wanted the most powerful best handling ATV THE OUTTY 800.
