I bet that 05' final % vs the 06' est. of only a 1% increase for BRP is going to end up a little short when the sales are all in for the 06. I have seen more BRP quads on the trails in the past 10-12 months than I thank I had seen since BRP started making quads a decade ago. I am betting it moves up to more into the 7-8% range of market share, when the 06' sales are all in the books. I would also not be surprised to see that percentage come right off the Kawi and Polaris percentages more than any other. I belong to allot of different forums and that seems to be what most people are trading in on the Outlanders. I know I sold two prairies one 650, one 700, and one Sprotsman 800 and replaced them with now a total of 3 Outlanders, all durring the past 12 months. The Can-am as they are called now is going to be coming on strong in the next few years. I am not sure they will ever make it to the level that the top 3 are at now, but I bet they give it one heck of try.

I am not sure what you mean, I think last spring there was a bomb down at highlifter mud nats cleaning house, and I recall a Outlander won the Baja with mike P at the helm. I also recall that BRP won the mfg, title in the new telivised espn race series, if you ever watched the races you would see them going over loggs and bolder fields then fly around a motorcross track grabbing all kinds of air. I forgot the name of the series. You can only close your eyes to the truth for so long.

The name of the series was The Quad Terrain Challenges. Ans Can-Am won the manufacturer award. Arctic Cat won the championship. Can-Am visited the podium 12 times, followed by Arctic Cat who visited it 8 times. AC won because they had more overall points. It was a close competition between the two brands

I just can't see BRP as a true utility. They do very well. A 600 pound 800cc that is an awsome trail machine. They just seem to be more of a light duty wrok machine and more of a racer with racks. The only 2 brands that actually seem to build a work related atv with enough wieght to handle a big work load is cat and polaris. Nothing against other brands. But they seem to be more of a race quad with 4WD and racks. In a ute, I'm not looking for that. I want a machine that will drag a house. Right now AC and Polaris seem to have the 2 most capable machines for that. The title of this thread is asking bout ute's. I consider a ute a workhorse. How well and fast it does in the trails can be argued all day.

I'm sorry if i didnt say from my personal experiences...but i've been with a 660 griz an outlander 800, and other smaller ute quads, and most of the towing, log hopping, hill climbing was not being made by the can am. It could of been just the rider but thats what I saw.
