Hot Grips -- anyone re-wired them?
I have some hotgrips and the resistor burned out.
Has anyone fixed theirs with some cool tricky way that I might do something likewise?
I think I'll run to the parts store and see if I can find something like Hot Grips infinate varible switch
wish I had some parts numbers

I dont know how far you are from Spokane, you may try Radar electronics downtown, they are a few blocks off of Division & 3rd by the 7-11. They are in the phonebook, can get you the phone number if you want, just pm me..
Also have you tried grainger? They may have the part you are looking for and they have a online catalog. Again there is a granger here in spokane also.. On Broadway off of Fancher...
Couldnt get the linking funtion to work, cut and paste...

Have you tried calling hotgrips? They may be willing to send you a new part? It is worth a shot.. I assume when you say your resistors burned out thats in the part that controlls the heat? The on off switch part? Call hotgrips and aks them. Then it could be a simple job of slicing new wires in..
Polaris makes a slick set of grips, just stick on type, they work neat. Have em on mine.
