They look kind of masculinely challenged, but I bet they are great for keeping the person in front of you from kicking up stones and such in your face.

My dad has one of those Lock N Ride winshields for his polaris. He loves it. The nicest thing is that it can be put on or taken off with no tools in about 5 secs.

Useless, they scratch when you try to clean them, and overall aren't worth it.

i wouldnt have one because riding in alot of mud they would dirty all the time and would be scratched from cleaning it then you cant see at all. would be great in a rain storm though

It would be? It would be completely covered in water, hence you wouldn't be able to see through it. Plus, you'd still get all that water in your eyes ( or if you're not an idiot, goggles )

well i guess im the idoit, because i dont wear googles, just sunglasses or safety glasses. but my meaning of having a windsheild in the rain would be from my experince on a bike going faster and having rain hit your face hurts so in that case it would give you a little protection. but i guess on the atv's were not going as fast but i still think they would help some for some people.

You must have a different helmet than I do. With my helmet and goggles I can't possibly be hit with any rain.

I personally made the choice not to have one. They arent for me. I have a face mask, helmet and goggles. My buddies father in law had a windshield on his quad, and took it off half way through our ride. In MN, the trails can get tight, with thick woods and brush. The branches were bending backward on the windshield, then slapping him in the face. There are some places for them, but i will never have one

I was out in an ice storm last week and my buddies vinson has one.
All day and long it was either rain or ice pellets and the temp hung at
about 30-31 degrees. His took some pretty big wacks and was none the worse
You can always take them off, but when (IF) the temp drops this winter I'll
sure like hiding behind it out on the lake.
And the next ice storm I ride in I'll be the mostly dry/warm one.
I was 1/2" ice head to waste and he wasn't that bad.
I'm buyin.
