How are the vent lines routed? Do they go into the snorkle?
Some guys run the rubber bellows from a suzuki or bomb diff, on the end of the vent line. This allows for xpansion and contration...with out exposing the internals to outside water /dirt.
Once the vent lines are capped with the bellows, youll be able to determine whether it comes thru the seals or the vents. Id bet the seals are fine, and the water is coming thru the vents.

good idea. my vents are very high. as high as i can get them. it gets water in them. even when i know the vent have never been under water. ive been over those several times. im going to try the puting it in water. and shooting some air in it. and see where the bubbles come out of. ive got spare cv ends to put in it. its been quite frustrating. but im not giving up. thanks for the input..
