Default used atv pricing questions please!

yeh....right now im thinking either a rancher or foreman..... someone was saying something about a polaris being crap? how come......if i get like a sportsman 500, is that crap or no? i'd love the IRS but as long as i have good low end power with 4x4....i really dont mind what it is

is it b.c. they're belt driven? i gues i'd just go with like honda, yamaha, or arctic cat.....

Almost all quads are belt driven now. They are reliable, and most atv manufacturers say you can get 10,000 on a belt

well, if it isnt the fact its belt driven, how come polaris's are bad?

with a belt driven quad, like an AC, is it easy to snorkel out?

Ive seen alot of cats snorkeled. Mine isnt, and ive never had a wet belt. Ive had mine buried in mud and water plenty of times. The Arctic Cats are sealed up very well. If your going to go to the handlebars in water, then i would snorkel the intake

wait, so if i snorkel the airbox, i dont have to do anything with the belt? sorry, i dont know ANYTHING about belt driven quads as far as snorkeling

The belt is not a must. Its possible to take water, but ive never had it happen. People snorkel the intake for water, and some people just do it to gain power. The cooler air helps with power increase.

Polaris's are the least reliable out of the big 5 and it's not by a small margin.

It's like the difference between a Toyota truck and a Ford but worse.

oh .... i really wanted to go with a sportsman but idk.... do you think it'd be worth it if i found a sportsman 700 for 2500 buks? also, it being in great condition....

im gonna go take a look at AC bikes on their website...
