i'm thinking the AC 500.....it has the a-arm guards, 4x4 and 4x2 selectable ....diff. locks.......

i like it.....plus, its only 6500 buks (cheap considering what your getting i think lol).....so, if i did get an arctic cat, it'd be no big deal having the belt and making it completely submersible? sorry, i'm just nervous about the belt and i've heard bad things about belt driven quads....

Its your money, But im telling you that your better off not getting a polaris. They are good atvs but i just see SOO many problems with them. Polaris owners sware by them but the way i see it. If they were reliable, there would be no reason for people to even talk bad about the but they do. They are pretty bad in the reliability dept. Go in a different direction.

I know your looking for used but check out the 07 Big Bear, comes with mudlites, has gears that you want, locker IRS and under 6k. Maybe you could put down what you had for cash, trade in your recon and end up not financing much at all. The big bear is a 400cc but being gear driven it should go anywhere you want. I'm thinking about trading in my bruin for one of these.

WOW! geeze, another quad we add to the choices.....i cant believe its under 6k for basically everything i want....400cc is good for me, its got 4x4, diff. locks, IRS, already has mudlites....man,thats awsome!! we're not gonna trade my recon in b.c. its so my dad and i can go riding together.....but we're looking to get a quad probably by the end of next summer (should have atleast 4k saved up ) so either we can go with a nice used one or a decent new one......really depends on how much we save but i think we're gonna go to this AC dealer soon....just to check their quads out.....i'll def. have to go to my yamaha dealer and ask why the hell dont they have any 4x4s lol....they only have sports, dirtbikes and stuff lol......

how well do those 350 4x4s work? like , the 360 prarie or that 350 bruin.....are they good in mud? do you think i'd be way better off just waiting a few months longer to get the bigger quad or should i consider looking at those? i really wanted to get a bigger quad so i could turn bigger tires....im thinking on a 350 the biggest i would go with are 25s or else i'd end up messing up the bearings and transmission and stuff....

I don't think there is anything wrong with the 350 class 4x4. Just of course, I want something with more power, are we ever satisfied? I've heard of some people having 26" tires on their Bruins, personally I would stick with stock size for the bruin, but thats just me. As far as mudding with the bruin, I have not had any problems going through mud, granted I have gotten stuck on a few occasions, but so had others in the same spot with bigger quads. I would think anything in the 350-450 class would be fine for what you want. I wanted to get a quote today on the big bear and griz 450 but never made it to the dealer.. Of course I want the Grizz 700 but I think a 400 or 450 is realistically all I need.
Hope you find whatever it is that makes you happy and that you can afford.
