Default used atv pricing questions please!

well...my dad and i want to ride together but we only have one quad. we're looking to get another quad but this time get a 4 wheel drive one. i'm thinking if we're gonna actually spend a decent amount of money.... we might as well go with IRS (independant rear suspension) and 4wheel drive and 2 wheel drive select......how much do you think im looking at for this...-

IRS
either 4x4 all time or 4x4/4x2 select
atleast a 400cc engine
years 2000 and up..
we dont really need anything else as long as its a good quad...

we're just trying to get a decent idea on how much we're looking to spend....

would it be a LOT cheaper if we went without the IRS and 4x4/4x2 select? thanks!!

kinda of a strang question, not to mention hard to anwser depending on what you buy. i would try looking at the want adds to check on prices of differnt models. if your looking at polaris then your looking at the sportsman 400 and up models w/ irs. most of the other brands just started to get into the irs models w/ the late years so they will be more money.

yeh, i think thats an awsome price for it....2500 buks! is the IRS really worth the extra money? and do i really need the 700 or do you think the 500 would be fine? ill be using it basically for mud and water about 90% of the time ...

IRS is a positive thing, and you will like it for mud, as it gives more ground clearance. The polaris, and Arctic Cats are among top rated for irs. Either one of these brands are good. Polaris has a more cusion ride, and Arctic Cat has more ground clearance, and a diff lock. Good luck!

Polaris's are great quads when (if) they are running.

Just sold a Polaris 600 for under $3000. Never had a problem with it running.
Holding together....................................lots of problems.

Do yourself a favor and look into a some of these quads as a 4x4. They dont have irs but they are reliable.

Honda ranchers
honda foremans
kawasaki prairies 300, 400, and 360
yamaha kodiacs

Try looking into atvs like these. You can find them relativly cheap and they are all pretty dang reliable.
