Look how they add weight on the front of the quad for the sled pull, wonder if they must change to mudlights too

 

The kodiak 450 did win the sled pull but it wasnt by much, I think it was like 3 feet but the outlander won all of the other such as the drag race, mud bog, and salmon course which tested the handling. Every magazine that has tested the outlander 400 and the kodiak 450 has said they are almost equal but they gave the outlander the win.

 

there is no doubt the 400 Outy has the strongest 400 class motor. The videos are all from Can_Ams web site so who do you expect to win all the contest? I think they had to admit the 450 Grizzly would out pull them because of its diff lock,4 wheels have more traction than 3.

I know, the Outy has the Visco lok which buts power to the front wheel with the most traction Blah Blah... but that still adds up to 3wd while diff lock is true 4wd case closed.

Even Outlanders in large contest meets add a after market dif lock set up, Yamaha just eliminates that need.

 

I have beaten 500 Polaris's with my 400 outty in pulling contests.It's all in the setup and the Visco Loc works well if you keep the power on.
