Default Carb Problem

Well today i took apart my carb on my ozark and cleaned it
i followed all the steps in my service manuel (SUZUKI) and everything went smooth
but once i mounted it up and started it the problem set in
It would idle strong but once i put it past 1/4 throttle it would bog big time
but if i run it with the chocke on it runs fine.
When i cleaned it everything was clean so i nothing is cloged up
There are two things i can think of, one is that my pilot screw might be off. The directions said to turn it clockwise till it set and count the turns, i got 3 and 1/2 but the book says 2 and 7/8 turns. The other thing could be in my floats/needle valve.
So Could you guys help me out?

Thanks
DChip

It wont be the mixture screw....it only effect idle circuit.
Sounds to me like something is wrong in the needle circuit or main. Did the main jet get tightened correctly? How about the rubber diaphram at the top of the slide....pinched , or installed wrong?
Is the air box lid on, while you were testing it out?

yea the piolet only works up to 1/4 throttle then the main takes over. if the float level isnt right it might not be getting enough gas when your above 1/4 as well. if its running fine w/ the choke out it might be getting an air leak like the lid off the air box like he said.

You may know this, but a quick air leak check is to spray the connections with starting fluid, if the rpm's change speed, you found a leak!

Default Carb Problem

Ok so i took it back apart today and put it back together to make sure i did it right
i remounted it andd made sure the boots were tight
started it up and still did the same thing
would idle good but once u got it past 1/4 throttle it would bog
NOW KEEP IN MIND I DO HAVE A PIPE AND AIR FILTER AND AM STILL RUNNING STOCK JETTING
AND ITS WINTER
SO I ADDED AIR FILTER + PIPE + WINTER COLD + STOCK JETTING = BAD!
so i think my problem is that my jetting is too lean cuz when i run with the choke it runs alot better
so could this be my problem?

if your running stock getting w/ a pipe/filter then yea in winter that would be a no,no w/ stock jetting. like you said, w/ the choke out it runs better so you know its starving for gas.
