Default Winch Tape or Webbing

Has anybody ever tried or seen anybody use flat webbing on their winch? I got a bunch of "Mule Tape" that is used by the telecom guys for pulling wires through big conduit. Seems like you could get quite a bit on a spool. Just wondering if anybody has done it before I try something that may not work all that well. Thanks JJ

never even heard of it. would it be even strong enough to stand up to the pulling of a winch?

I have the front winch on my quad wrapped with about 6' of heavy nylon strap off a tractor trailer. I've used it for 2 years for my plow and it works great. If you pull too hard on the winch it does less damage then a cable as there is a little give in the strap.
