Default What would best fit me?

Okay Ive never owned a quad before but ive used my best friends for years so I know how they handle etc..

Im wondering what quad would be best for me.
Im an average 6' guy about 190lbs.. I live in south dakota so it gets freakin COLD here.. and worst of all FROZEN like no other. What would the best bike 350-500cc range would be best for cold weather? I dont plan do to much LONG riding of it, basically just to ride around on base from home to work, and maybe hit a few trails later.

thanks guys!

rancher 420!!! fuel injection makes it much easier to start in freezing temps! it handles great(sra)
, very quick, 2x4 selecter, great price (4800, +-300), and best of all its a honda!

the rancher 420 is new for 07 good luck finding a used one. a can am/bombardier outlander 400 would be a good canidate for you too. its not injected but they are made to start in the bitter cold and are very reliable. the ride is real good on them too.

Do you want a sport or a utility quad? Both will do what your asking. You can ride on base? Or to and from Base?

To be honest I dont think you will find much for 2k with 4x4. I would think in the type of weather you have something 4x4, 350cc and up would fit. Something like a Wolverine. Its sporty but has 4x4.

Look at the Suzuki Eiger (400cc range), I love mine. I wish that we could ride on base here at Luke must be nice I would do it ever day, do you have to have the motorcycle certification or just a normal license? Oh and welcome!

I have 06 bruin 350 4x4. Used would be around 3-4k. This quad is great, starts every time in new england's cold winters. It is fully auto, not that expensive, and small enough for the tight trails yet powerful enough to go through the stuff the big bores do. I would also check out the big bear.
