Default Which 07 ATV

I made my decision. I went with another Polaris. Got the 07 700 Sportsman Twin EFI. It is actually for the Mrs. I looked at Yammy (which I was kinda hoping she would pick). But she made a interesting point. With the Yammy, the Suzuki King quad, and the Arctic Cats all of them have shifters on the left. Which most likely wouldn't bother 90% of the people out there. But it did her. We are both right handed so that felt strange. I really did like the Artic Cat also. I liked the looks and the construction of it. I felt it would take a beating and perform in a way that would meet any need I had. But, I am used to the popo and sitting on the AC compared to the popo was like sitting on a brick. Sometimes we will ride for 8 hrs at a time. So comfort is important. But I liked it. It looked like it could be a work horse and a nice 2nd ride.

While I am always drawn to the Can-Am due to it's power, it was not one that we looked at. The price was more than we wanted to spend. I did see a very interesting show on I think it was the Outdoor channel this week where they did a comparison between the 800 Outlander Max and the Sportsman 800 X2. There were pros and cons for each. I am not interested in a 2 person machine. But the sticking point for me was where they flipped both machines over and you got to do the stare and compare. While I know the Bomb will smoke my Sportsman, I felt the frame was a poor design. And having seen that, even though it has just loads of power, and is a sweet looking ride, I would never buy one with that frame. They change the frame design and I would consider it. But you can see where the lack of some that dry weight is on the Can Am for sure when you look under 'em. I'll keep the weight. If I ever roll my Sportsman, I know it will be ok. I can't say that for the Can-Am.

You can put a locker in a Honda for about $300 then it would be close to perfect.
