Advice needed ...
Hello Group ,
My new '06 Foreman is evidentally the wrong machine for my needs . I am using it to drag a little trailer type tool around a baseball infield to level , sweep and dress the dirt . The Foreman will illuminate the ' high oil temp ' light after about 5 minutes of work . The dealer can find nothing amiss , but it sure appears obvious that the slow speed and high work load is just more that the air cooled motor can take . It appears that being water cooled is a ' given ' . Next question ... Which ATV is the best suited for me ? I'd prefer to stay with Honda if possible , as I can get out of my Foreman and into something else without too much drama at the dealership . It seems that the design of the transmission is of particular concern to me . When I drag and use the ' chisel ' attachment , I will really be asking quite a bit of the tranny . The Rincon has a full automatic while the Rubicon is hydromechanical . I have no idea what that means , but I'm sure it matters . This rig will always be used as a worker , so I have no interest in the " fun " quotient of whatever I get . Tough is all that matters . I would greatly value any words of wisdom !!!

There is no way I would use a Rincon for what you are doing. You'll overheat the torque converter in no time. The Rubicon with its low range transmission would work much better.
Have you considered an aftermarket oil cooler for your Foreman. I'm sure you could get one with two or three times the cooling capacity.

Hello Desert Viper ,
The idea of the aftermarket oil cooler is one that I'll explore .. Thanks !! At this point it appears that I may end up with a Rubicon . I've got quite a selection of 2 stroke dirt bikes , however I don't have a 300 KTM , but wish I did . So , you belive that the Rubicon tranny can really pull a load ?? Thanks !!!
