I have a Warn XT30, and yes I'd say it is worth the extra to get the synthetic line and the wireless remote.
I've gotten stuck in deep snow where it was really a struggle to get through the snow, up the bank, and over to a tree, then back to the quad to pull it out, then back to the tree to unhook... With the remote, I can unwind on my way to the tree and pull the quad out with the remote, then wind back in on the way back... Saves a trip.
XT30's are like $453 at tweety's, which had the lowest price I could find when I got mine. Also, this time I went with a KFI mount plate. It was every bit as nice as the Warn plate I used on my Foreman, but was much cheaper.

Either RT or XT Warns are the way to go... I have a 2.5Ci that I got with my Grizzly 450 during Yamaha's promotion. Great Winch! If I had to buy new - it would be another warn. I just re-greased my 2.5ci last week as it seen its share of water and muck over the past 1.5 years. Everything looked fine inside! All metal gears! nice setup inside!
Now between the 2.5 and 3.0? for $153 I would just spend the money on some ****** blocks... Almost always I double up the line anyhow to put less strain on the winch...

Yeah, the 2500 is probably enough, but if you wanted wireless and synthetic, it was cheaper to get the XT30 than to add the wireless to the XT25.
As far as a ****** block goes, a buddy of mine got the Warn accessory kit. I got the Tusk one for much less money... The ****** block and tree savers seem to be of equal quality, but both of us decided we liked the Tusk's bag better, and it also comes with a pair of work gloves the Warn doesn't.
If you add a 12' tow strap it will fit in the bag and round out the kit nicely.

Jeff,
I use 2.8T pulleys from Northern tools.. they were $15 each and I got 2 of them orginally and lost one.. so I bought 2 more for a total of 3 and I have 2 6 foot tree savers that Northern used to sell but no longer. I also drag around my 30 foot x 3" tow strap from my fullsize Truck 4-wheeling days.. lol..

That'll work... The other thing I'd like to add to my winching stuff would be a 100' amsteel extension one of these days... Montana Jacks also makes a super-complete winching kit, but it isn't cheap.
