You should ask this question in the tires section. For what it's worth, I bought Swamplites for my BF750.

I love my Swamplites but I don't think you'd go wrong with either one. The Swamplites ar softer but the 589's are harder and wear like iron.

I would say if the majority of the riding is trails to light work than get the swamp lights, if your going to ride mostly on muddy terrain, harsh terrain, or need to dig for work duty than get the 589's. I put them on our AC 500, but that gets used for mostly field/woods work and snow removal. they are stiff and dig. If I did not get such a good deal on the 589's (27") I would of went after the less expensive mudlights as I heard decent things.

I am unsure if my rambling helped, but good luck to you.

Default itp 589 or swamp lite?

ive had both. the 589s have 2500 miles on them and have half the tread left. the swamplites have 300 miles on them hardly any wear and i used them for 1 day on pavement to plow snow. so IMO, both tires have been in the same mudholes on the same bike and i prefer the swamplites. if mud is all i did id stay with the 589s. the swamplites just seem to dig for a second then grab and go. for ex. driveing out of a ditch or up a steep hill. the 589s would kinda dig a hole. also the swamplites out did the M/S/T that my friend had on his bike. his didnt climb out of the ditch they just spun. i did it 4 times and never spun. both of us were in 2wd. he's upgrading to swamplites next.

My uncle has 589's on a Polaris 800 and he goes almost anywhere in the mud. I also have a friend with a King Quad with Swamplites and he gets stuck alot in the gumbo, the Swamplites he has slick over in thick mud where the 589's dig in and keep going. Pesonally I've never had either one but to me the Swamplites seem to be a good all around tire and the 589's lean more towards the rougher stuff like thick sticky mud and deep ruts.

It depends on terrain you plan on riding... I think the 589's work well on the trail, in the thick stuck and all around. Sometimes they dig way too quick however. In my experience, the bigger the lugs, the quicker the tires dig... My buddy has the swamp lites. He likes them. He doesn't think they dig as much. He rides a lot in sandy bottom creeks. The 589s don't work well in them because they paddle the sand away too quick and are prone to digging themselves into a big hole quick in the fast moving water... The swamp lites will probably clog faster, but the 589s will clog up as well in the thick stuff...

I think you'll be happy with either one of them...
