Personally, I think all of the manufacturers have great quads these days. (Major manufacturers that is) Yamaha has power steering, Honda great reliability, Kawasaki massive torque, Suzuki's new King Quad is a great all around machine, Arctic Cat has the best clearance, Can-Am the fastest machines. I got the Polaris Sporstman X2 as it was, for me, the best all around machine to meet my needs. It's been very reliable, has great storage under the front rack, good ground clearance, towind, and weight carrying, excellent AWD system, and was a couple grand cheaper than the Can-Am at the time. To each his own.</end quote></div>

Actually, Arctic Cat no longer has the best ground clearance... CanAm, Polaris and Yamaha have a slight edge on the AC. They're all really close however...

AC 700 H1/Thundercat - 11 inches
Polaris SP800 - 11.25 inches
Yamaha Griz 700 - 11.8 inches
Kawasaki BF750fi - 9.7 inches
Suzuki KQ750AXi - 10.6 inches
CanAm 800 - 12 inches (comes stock w/ 26" tires)

Dunno if the CanAm is faster than the Thundercat... Never seen anyone w/ a Thundercat yet...

My buddy thinks the new BF750 is faster than the Outlander 800... (one of the guys just got the new BF and one of the other guys has the CanAm) I'll find out for sure at the end of August when I go to visit. I'll try to get video...

Actually the ac 500 manual still has 12" of gc and the 700 mudpro has 14" i think! The mudpro comes stock w/ 28" tires!

I'd be interested in seeing what's faster. I just read about the new BF with the 750EFI. I can tell you that there is a decent difference between my 500EFI and the 500HO in my son's ATP. I'm not really a speed freak. My son would like to be...

Every mag. I've read has given the Thundercat great reviews. I have to wonder how many people are hesitant about buying it because of gas prices???

IMO most people are going buy what they want reguardless! The way i look at it if i were worried about gas prices i would have bought a honda recon 250. Do you know which is faster the renegade or the outlander? Here is a video of the renegade and the thundercat.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrDiezLNaRE
Back to the fuel prices..Depending on how you drive is whats going to determine your gas milage. I just think it would be awesome to have that explosive power under you when you felt like playing a little. Other than that my 500 is all the power i need!

Well of what you have listed Yamaha but Arctic Cat makes the best. Especially the 09's with industry leading ground clearance, ride-in and the H1 engines.
