I like the plastic racks over the metal ones for a couple of reasons. One the plastic ones dont hert you hind quarters if you ride the occasional doubble. Two we all crash our quads don't think it matters if the rack shatters or bends you are goint to replace it and the plastic ones are cheeper than the metal ones.

One more thing the Polaris has twice the storage and accessories of any other quad which is a plus!</end quote></div>

Speak for yourself. I have yet to crash a quad. And the racks on the AC are RARE to break in a wreck. They are steel racks, almost unbreakable.</end quote></div>

Not one to take sides but enough is enough. I dont need to speek for myself my machine does all the talking I need! I guess I just ride a little harder than you, its just that sometimes those trees like to jump out in front of you. HAHA
And as far as the trailer hitch thing goes yes it woud be nice to have a two inch reciver but dosent really matter as the max towing on the AC is 1050 lbs all Sportsmans will tow 1500 with a smaller hitch that does not takeup ground clearance.

I guess the # of bikes sold speaks for itself dosen't it!

LOL!!! All bigbore quads will pull the same weight. Dont get all excited over the "rated" tow capacity, thats all safe stopping distance crap. I pulled my 1/2 ton pickup up my driveway with my cat. And the # of bikes does speak. AC has broke EVERY previous of its own records in sales for the last 5 years running year after year.

So what you are telling me that AC brakes are worthless then? And they can only brake ther own records not industry records?

The only industry records popo breaks is the number of repairs it has.

That WAS my buddies, which is broke down. How ironic. And this whole thread is childish. If you go back to the beginning and see that it started as fact based opinions as my first response, which was retaliated on by the first "polaris riders" childish response.

I can say good things about both brands; my AC has been great - no issues at all and tons of people use it; from my 73 year old father to my teen age nephews. We also had a Polaris in Iraq that was abused by tons of people in 130 degree heat with little or no maint and it still ran strong when I left; a photo of it is on my photo page.

And I'll add that the best thing about both brands is they are built in the US providing jobs here in our country.

Ok. They have more problems than 3 atv brands put together. That AWD is crap. And polaris puts a 1 1/4 inch reciever on the machine because it cant handle anything that needs a 2" reciever. Also, I don't recall steel skids being better than ACs skids, which come Standard on ALL AC quads, as they bend when hit, and dont bend back. Who the hell keeps the stock tires on a quad for more than a year? Lots of storage on the cheap plastic racks that shatter on impact. Cool.</end quote></div>

You're saying that an AC has the ability to out pull a polaris 800? Careful, your credibility is getting VERY thin lately.
