ATV Discounter--credible?

Those things do seem to be at an impressively low price for a new machine, but I wonder if you wouldn't be better off finding a good used machine from honda or one of the other makes known for reliability...

You can check out any business at bbb.org but I never tried it before. Wow, ATVdiscounter has 158 complaints in just over a year. Some businesses never get a complaint to the BBB so that says a lot. They guys also go by the name Frontier Imports so watch out for them too. http://www.fortworth.bbb.org/c...mpid=161443014#CustExp

Las Vegas Police Arrest Fugitive in Texas Premium Thefts
News Release Date: 11/5/1997
Category: Fraud
Local angle for Arlington, Dallas and Fort Worth
Glen Mark Barling, a former Arlington insurance agent who fled Texas after his indictment for car insurance premium theft five months ago, has been arrested by the Las Vegas, Nevada, police department´s Fugitive Unit.
A Travis County grand jury indicted Barling, his son and his daughter-in-law in May on organized crime charges.
The indictment alleges misapplication of $12,986.73 in premiums between June 1994 and April 1997, causing "substantial risk" for 24 people who thought they were buying car insurance. The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) received about 120 complaints against the Barlings. The allegedly stolen premiums averaged about $400 to $500 per person. Arlington police also received numerous complaints that the Barlings pocketed consumers´ premiums.
Barling, 44; Michael Jason Barling, 24; and Patricia Barling, 24, all of Arlington, were named in a first-degree felony indictment charging them with organized criminal activity.
Glen Barling also was charged with unauthorized (unlicensed) insurance and falsifying his agent license application by failing to disclose an indictment for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.
Arrest warrants based on the indictments were issued May 28. Travis County grand juries have statewide venue over insurance fraud cases. At the time of Barling´s arrest, he had five outstanding felony warrants with bonds totaling $50,000. He also was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Tarrant County in another matter.
Barling has agreed to return to Texas voluntarily to stand trial. Investigator John Watson of TDI´s Insurance Fraud Unit investigated the case and referred it to the Travis County District Attorney for prosecution.
Glen Barling is a former agent who did business under the names Barling & Associates and A-Family Insurance Agency. He lost his license on December 7, 1994, after failing to complete requirements for a permanent local recording agent´s license within the allotted 12 months.
Michael and Patricia Barling held insurance solicitors´ licenses that were suspended for lack of a sponsoring local recording agent.

OK guy's, I'll advoid atvdiscounters.com lol
I did do some googleing on them, most of the complaints I saw was people did'nt get the first choice color they wanted, or they promised 3 day shipping and it really took 2 weeks, or that the machines are junk.
But I understand the machines are made_in_china, and I dont exspect it to be as reliable and built as well as a jap machine, and thats fine. I know what it's like to wrench, I own 2 polaris's from the 80's lol!
Hey, grannieannie72 wana sell me your ATV from them?

I have purchased several ATV's from ANAMCYCLES.COM. No problems great service and parts when you need them. I have also purchased one from motorxtremes.com also great service and good tech support. Both of these sell the better quality Chinese ATV. I will admit no matter whom you buy from if its Chinese be ready to turn a wrench. Have a look at what can be done with a little effort.
