Default 20 amp self-resetting breaker

I have a 1996 sportsman 400. It has been sitting in my dad's garage for 6 years and I am trying to revive it on my own. Of course I have no known mechanical skills so I am learning as I go.

I removed, disassembled, reassemble, and re-installed the carb. Changed and charged the battery, and now it starts with the starter and/or one pull on the pull start. It runs great except the low beams, dashboard indicators, fan, AWD indicator, etc. are not working.

The High beam light works and one indicator light is working.

What are my chances that the 20 amp self-resetting breaker has failed and how can I test it? It is in the sealed pouch and I am not really excited about cutting it open if I don't need to.

I think my next step after the breaker is to look at the Stater???

THanks for any help and suggestions.

Rick

Welcome to the forum Rick. Try posting in the Polaris forum. There are some very knowledgeable people there. And some people like me too.
