Love my A/C 700 EFI, Thundercat is just too much for my type of riding! But then, the 500 would have handeled my riding, I just wanted the EFI. I wanted as much american product as I could get, and preferred the CAT to the POPO, nothing personal, and not a shot at the POPO, just my humble preferance. I looked at all of these machines while I was researching ATVs before making my purchase. All of them have pros and cons, including my Cat. When I finished, the Cat was the best fit for me.

I'd happily buy another Arctic Cat 700 EFI like the one I bought this spring. I love this machine, and with minor tweaking it'll be perfect virtually factory stock.

If I were in the market for a new big bore I'd likely get another Cat. Doubt I'd get the Thunder Cat, only because the 700 is more than enough for any trail, anywhere, plus the new 2009 Cat 700's have the Mud Pro version.......

If I were to pick some other brand, I'd probably get the Brute Force because I like the looks, the v-twin, that whole package.

I wouldn't kick any of these choices out of bed, mind you. Just that I really love my big bore Cat, and I'm a sucker for a v-twin like the Brute Force.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I just bought an AC 700 EFI and a Dodge 5.7 Hemi. I'm ready for anything now</end quote></div>

---I did the exact same thing!!!!

I bought my 700 EFI, then a month later decided I needed a Ram 2500 Hemi to haul it.

It's still an american vehicle! At least I didn't buy a foreign truck! By the way, that Dodge Truck is pretty nice, never thought they were worth much until I got broadsided (my fault) in my car. Totaled my car, he drove home. That changed my mind about those trucks. But, GM fed me, clothed me, and housed me (dad works for GM) as I grew up, so I try to stay loyal.

Can't believe how many people would buy a machine (Polaris 850xp) that they hever even ridden or much less ever have see'n. It just boggles my mind how everyone thinks that bigger is better but then again there is only two votes for the AC 1000. Now I am confused! Its the people that are brand loyal to Polaris, and would by it not matter what because of the name that is on it?

Just a guess..

I guess I am from the old school that tells me not to buy anything brand new no matter what it is, as it is a given that no matter what it is there will be some sort of a change 2nd year.

You see this all the time in the auto industry and I have learned the hard way to just get over the WOW factor and you are good to go!
