I'm looking at buying one of these two Gorilla winches for my 07 Honda Rancher 2x4.

Has anyone on here bought one or any Gorilla winch and if so what do you think about the Gorilla winch?

I just bought this and installed it on my Suzuki Vinson. It works great and was not as difficult to install as I thought.

Actually contacted the eBay seller about their Gorilla winches and they sell them with a 6 month warranty vs lifetime from the Gorilla website....even though they're the actual Gorilla company. Not sure why 6 months vs lifetime!!!
Glad to hear that yours bolted up with no problem. Since my atv is a 2x4 I'm worried about the tires hitting the winch.

You hear some good but its usualy bad stories that seem to come from these lower priced winch company's one thing to remember is that most of the cheeper winches do not have a brake letting the vehicle roll backwards!

I just looked at the Gorilla website and it states that the 2500lb winch I'm looking at has a dynamic brake vs the mechnical brake that the Warn winch has. What's the difference? I'm really not sure what a dynamic b rake is....I can figure out the mechanical brake.
Thanks,

Instead of trying to explain it read this from the Wikipedia sight!

Mechanical is just like it says mechanical (drum brake)

Thanks....I read it. I wonder which is better? Seems like the dynamic brake would work the motor harder.

I would say mechanical would be the more rugged of the two but if you want the best check out this warn with a disk brake setup!
http://www.warn.com/atv/winches/XT30.shtml
Dynamic will work best but the problem is they wont hold till they have been under a heavy load!

Take a look at the Warn 2.5 or 2500 they are great winches at a decent price I truly belive this is one area you dont want to go cheep in that would be the last thing you would want to fail on you while riding in the deep wood or mud! I have used my 2.5 warn for snowplow bussiness now for 5 years without fil yet. Guess I got my $69.00 worth out of it.
