what kind of fluid do i need for a 1997 polaris magnum 425

Polaris chaincase lube if I'm not mistaken.

I think the chain case lube is the one Polaris fluid to which there is no commercially available substitute. You'll probably just have to break down and go to a dealer and pick up a bottle. That or order it online.

I just did a service on my friends 95 magnum 425. It recommended the same Synthetic AGL Gearcase Lube as my newer sportsmans.
