If everyone would quit buying crap made in China there wouldn't be any problem. They can make kids quads here just like they make adult ones.</end quote></div>
It covers way more than Chinese items. Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha cant sell their mini's either.
It covers ALL ATV's and dirt bikes sold for kids 12 and under.
Does this make you wonder how many of their items are made in China?
Maybe this is part of the change we voted for?</end quote></div>
I thought all those kids quads were made in China too.

I agree with last couple of posts. Stop licking the Decals. Does this mean I can't teach my son to shoot a shotgun till he is thirteen because of lead ammo
When will the stupidity end? When will laws make sense again? We are supposed to be an educated society, let's start acting like one
Forget the China crap, none of that matters. The ban is ridiculous.

I've heard of some locally made children's products having to be pulled, because the shops can't afford to pay for lead testing. So, they are actually running American business' in to the ground, and putting American people out of work because of the lead scare. This to me is how ridiculous it is, they are only keeping the big companies who can afford the lead testing to continue to buy foreign products. That's our government, hard at work for the Chinese!

It's not a matter where the machines were made, but where the paint was made that was applied to the machines. I'll bet you that they buy from the lowest bidder and you can just bet who and where the paint is coming from!! This is why the ban effects all makes and all models of youth powersports under 100cc. what gets me is that we can't even sell parts to these machines even if there is no paint on the part as well. Had a customer in over the weekend getting a part and had to be told that we were not allowed to sell it to him. He was less than happy. Dog

My local Polaris dealer sells Harleys too. I was complaining about the ATV bumpers I ordered being made in China. He said most of the accesories for Harleys are made in China too. It sucks that you can't count on the accesories being made here even if the bike is.

The dealer I spoke to the other day said it didn't involve the paint at all. it seems that the big stink was about the batteries. They seemed to think the children would start chewing on the lead acid batteries.
See what happens when you start letting the government nanny run your lives?
