LEAD PAINT!!

Have you folks heard about the lead paint scare all the Youth atvs. I work as a salesman at a dealership and we had to remove all the youth model atvs and dirtbikes under 100cc form the showroom and put them in storage until further notice. We have no idea when or how this will be resolved but for now the yougsters are s_ _ t out of luck if they want to ride. Dog

That is the dumbest thing I have heard all day. What are the kids going to eat the fender or suck on the handle bar. The things that people come up with these days simply amazes me. Keep us posted on this issue as it unfolds.

More amazing is you're not allowed to sell parts for them too.
So just in time for spring, I've got a 90cc paperweight.

I was with a friend at a local dealer, he was looking at a pink Polaris outlaw 90 for his daughter, the salesman told him because of the lead content on decals and such, they can NOT sell any youth quads (rated for under 12) until new lead free decals and attachments are installed, so nothing can be sold, this law just kicked on on Monday, the 9th of Feb, from what we were told at the dealership.

If everyone would quit buying crap made in China there wouldn't be any problem. They can make kids quads here just like they make adult ones.</end quote></div>
It covers way more than Chinese items. Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Yamaha cant sell their mini's either.
It covers ALL ATV's and dirt bikes sold for kids 12 and under.
Does this make you wonder how many of their items are made in China?
Maybe this is part of the change we voted for?
