Don't rule out the Honda Foreman. I got a 99 foreman s and it's great. I'm 6'2" ~285 and it does great with me on it. I had to make a choice when I was looking between the bigbear and the foreman. I chose the foreman because it felt better when I rode it. The bigbear was a lot looser. It's a hard decision to make with so many good quads available. Good luck.

Hey Stump,

Are those 450 Foremans a whole lot bigger than the 400 Foremans. I was just wondering because I know of a fella around here than just got one and I and 6' 250 pounds and his is very small compared to my 500 Magnum. Now I'm not here to start something between Polaris and Honda, I'm just wondering How large the 450's are. Just out of couriosity.

hey i think the bigbear is a good machine.
I raced a honda 300 in the GNCC this year for five races then i tested a 2000 bigbear
for the next 5 and i liked the way it handles
pretty good i won the championship on it against all the wolverines and all other brands in the stock utility class.it can hold its own in a drag race also with the wolves.for the price its a good bike.

I'm a 00 Big Bear owner new to atv's I do like it. I have ridden the wolv. enjoyed it for its speed. But where we ride I 290lbs 6`3" needs something with ground clearence and a low first gear for up and down the hill. The BB is cheaper and last but not least, try to find one in OHIO(not).

I don't much about the BB, but I have seen and rode with a Wolverine. By the way they DO have racks. It seemed like a pretty good machine. It is a LOT more sporty than the BB. It seem like it sat up higher and had more suspension travel. It really seems like more sport than utility. I have a Foreman 400 that is probably more utility than sport, so it really depands on how your going to use it. Don't get me wrong, even the most utility of machines are capable of some serious trail riding, but if you are leaning toward the work side, go with the BB. If your leaning toward the play side, go with the Wolverine. The wolverine is set up to take a bit more thrashing, like jumping, than the BB, so it probably rides a little stiffer. The BB, just the opposite. Good luck.

If you want it mostly for just skooting around the back roads on... I'd get the Wolverine.
The BB is very fast, but is more of a workhorse than the Wolv.

If you can't drive fast, you shouldn't be driving!

Pick the big bear, the wolverine hasn't been updated in years, the bb was recently!
