Clindst, man you just want it all.It will be real hard on anybodys 4x4 pulling around 6000lbs.How often and for how long will you have to pull this amount of weight around?Im thinking that maybe you'll be better off with a 4x4 with gears instead of belt drive for this amount of weight. But than you give up true 4x4 unless you opt for the smaller 280cc King Quad.

The Sportsman's snorkel is higher, and so is it's ground clearance. Why ask questions if you agrue the answers?

You can always put a locker in a limeted slip if you want more options than polaris.
But i would get the sportsman 500.

Polaris expedition 425cc ?? No belt but true 4x4. Don`t know about the power, never saw one.
Anyone with the artic cat 500(auto)? is the front diff auto-lock like the traxter ?
Maybe you should wait till the new honda get out.
Good luck choosing the right quad.

Just look at the left sideof the quads. You see those holes in the plastic? The ones on the sportsman are almost on top of the tank while the magnums are lower. I have also seen these quads with the plastic off.

It would have to be a Polaris 400 Explorer. It has the power, speed, ride, and refinement of 5 years of production. I paid 5,320 out the door with rear rack extender and handguards installed. This is no doubt the finest atv I have ever owned. I have owned the following atvs:
1995 King Quad
1995 Polaris Explorer 400
1995 Polaris Sportsman still have
1998 Honda 450S
1998 Honda 450ES still have
1999 Polaris Explorer 400 still have

I love the smell of a two stroke in the morning ... It smells like victory.

I like the smell of shaft drive a bit better though myself. Smells like you will make it home on time.
