If you're serious about mudding you can move your radiator up on the racks, and install snorkels for your CVT, and air intakes. I don't understand Honda's reluctance to put a full locker capability for their ATVs front axles. They have it in the Big Red UTV. Hondas don't have as much clearance as the other makers. Makes for a sportier ride as they don't act as top heavy but mud and ruts beg for more clearance.

Can-Am makes a mud specifica outlander on an extended chassis if that is your thing. Already has the radiator mounted up top too, and absolute gorilla tires. Great for mudding, but those tires will beat you up on solid ground. I have been eying one to use in the fields pulling some equipment where I need max traction. But they are costly. Been looking at the Outlander XT too as a general riding machine to replace my Griz 700. Not that there is anything wrong with the Griz, just looking to do something different. But then again, a new SxS may be the best of all worlds for me now.

i got my first used 2993 polaris sportsman 500 ho and that thing is great in mud i was amazed how it walked right threw those holes im thinking polaris all the way man i traded a three wheeler and a mini bike for it and i just had too put cv axles in it and now its a beast lol
