That's great advise Moose. I would be hauling a majority of loads downhill to the back and never seen part of the property. I would then be hauling an empty trailer up hill...that's a big help and makes me worry less about getting a larger "big bore". I'll just have to watch out how much I load up going down hill on some steeper areas. Really appreciate it. Love the forum will be in touch and let you know how things go or If I have more questions.

I was just up in VT today with my son who loaded the trailer up with fresh cut firewood. With him on my 2-seater (it has a convertible dumpbox/passenger seat on the X2) and a trailer full of wood I kept on the brake and we did fine. Nothing too hairy today.

Hmm it's probably not practical advice since they're tough to find, a little old, and can be pricey, but I'd recommend Bombardier. Traxters in particular, that's the bike I've got- It's a tough utility quad, I've heard of people towing trucks out of tough spots with them. It's got a 500 for a motor, not sure if that's the range you're looking for, but it gets the job done and still has lots of power to spare. Also it's a 4x4 with diff lock I believe.
Good Luck and all the best!

well honda is all we buy up north so this is what we all got mine is the rancher 420 on the left my fathers the foreman in the middle and my brothers the foreman on the right we all love our atvs however plowing means a lot of beating on the front-end of an atv i would say get new shocks if thats what your gona be doing. but with the 500s you get independent suspension but they are dont have a solid rear end that equals alot when you look at rearend torque i love my rancher it hasnt done me wrong yet i havent been stopped pulling trees well over 1000 pounds it moves hay and hauls almost anything as for the foremans from honda cant say enought if you get cold weather they are so cold blooded its not funny you will choke it for at least 45 mins getting it warmed up my efi 420 rancher starts right up and im off in the winter

My father had a bike like that, a 420 Honda never got to use it since there were problems with the engine, but someone still traded him a Seadoo for it It's a shame because it seems like it would have been a really good bike
