atv winch power ?

If you can operate the winch when the key is off, you spliced into a wire that is always drawing a current, which means your winch is continuously draining power from the battery. You need to rewire and splice into a wire that draws current only when the ignition switch is on like the main ignition switch or an aux plug.

It was the battery. New battery and off we went.
