Hey there...first time writer long time reader haha. I have a 1998 Polaris Magnum that has been tinkered with more than I knew when I bought it. The brown wires for the hubs are just wrapped in a loop under the front ferring and not connected to anything. Does anyone have a photo of where these connect to? Also the speedometer is missing...so I was thinking they might be connected into that. Any help is appreciated!!!!

Should be two white connectors under the front panel with a gray and brown wire in each. These tie into the left and right hub wires. Speedo on these are mechanical, not tied to the awd system. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Best case for a manual on this as previous owner did this on purpose. More than likely problems in the hubs they didn't want to address. Best 10 bucks you can invest in if you plan on keeping the machine.http://visit.tradebit.com/visit.php/...75/264163234/9

Usually when hubs engage like this it's usually because of a magnetized armature plate. Cheap as they are I'd replace both sides as sooner or later the other one will do the same. Cams were another problem on these and plenty replacements on ebay. Be sure to replace the exhaust rocker arm as most are usually worn also. You can get some cams and rockers complete if you wish.
