As the winter winds down, The snowmobile will be used less and the Kodiak will be used more.

I'm looking for ideas on storage, from rack extensions to boxes to bags, what have you found works best for carrying your cargo.

Thanks for the help!

I use a action pack box. It is plastic black box, small size, it's made by rubber maid. I
drilled some hoes through the bottom to mount onto the rear rack susing 1/4 inch bolts
with wide flat washers and wing nuts for take off and put on as you will. This box is
inexpensive throug K-Mart or other discount retail stores. I use a bungee cord to help keep
the handles secure and lid on better when I ride on rough trails. Mac

Like you, I also needed storage space on my quad. I got a winch and needed someplace to put straps and clevis. Found that a Sears Craftsman truck tool box works very well for this. They are black plastic, about 4-5 inches high 21" long and 9" wide and best of all $12. I choose this for the height. Didn't want anything to block the pod light on my Sportsman.

I havent needed to carry much more than my tools and the winch stuff.I use one of those canvas tool bags that i bought at sears.I strap it to the front to add a little extra weight to help keep the front end down.Dont know that it has helped, But havent gone over backwards yet.My brother Uses a sea bag And that works real good. Its not bulky,You can take it off,And it will hold Just about anything you want to carry...Bob
