To YZguy
They can't ride the big ones all the time you don't want them to get to saddle sore.

I have to agree things are getting too complicated for me at least. I looked high and low at as many differnt bikes as I could before deciding on my Arctic Cat. My biggest concern was being broke down miles from nowhere with very little resources to get me home. There are other bikes I wouldn't mind owning but for what I do with my machine simple, mechanical controls are best for me. I was even concerned about being liquid cooled before I bought it. Bells and whistles are nice but it seems as if all manufacturers are leaning to more stuff that could really be a hinderance. Price structers are on the rise because of it. I spent good money on something I'm going to ruin by using it for what its intended. If the price was lower more people could afford to get into the sport. More people means more places to ride will follow. I'm not saying there isn't the market for top of the line everything. I'm not someone who can afford to trade up every year. If you can justify $7grand for a play toy good for you. Most of us can't.

I thought KISS stood for "Knights in Satans Service"

Therere are plenty of "simple" machines out there. I just bought a kawasaki Bayou 250. I think it has pretty much stayed the same for the past 10-12 years. I also have a P650 and I love every little complexity it offers.

Ego made me get a Prairie 650 for my first quad. It some very nice features but its still fairly simple in many areas. IRS for example. I go through everything my friend's SP500HO and SP700 go through. Yet I don't have to spend a ton of time cleaning out my rear suspension. The 650 axle is very simple and clean. I should never have to get my axle repaired less of course my own stupidity with it.

Yet I am concerned at all the electronics under my seat. I hope that they hold up. Looks pretty complex. I may have to get the extended warranty.
