Warn winch mount on Honda 300 4x4

I just purchased a Warn winch mount for my 300 4x4 and I can see no way that it'll fit under the front like the (poor) instructions show. Has anyone else had experience with this mounting plate?

i had the same problem wit my rancher
u put it in at an angle and it worked on mine
