Hey, I've posted this before but I haven't gotten much response. I need to get more power out of my 500, can't manage a new quad this year, spent too much buying some for the rest of the family. I need to here from people what they have done to their 500s and how much power thay got in return. I am trying not to break the bank but could spend maybe $500 or a little more. I am putting new 27 inch Dirt Devils on it latter this month. Want to be able to out run my buddies on their sportsman 500 HOs. I am pretty new to quads and motorcycles so I don't know alot about hopping them up. (If I had known much I would have bought bigger quad to start with) Help me out guys!!!! This thing feels like a 400 could out run it.

Jet the Carb, K/N Intake, Performance Exhaust. If you want a bigger difference bore the cylinder, racing piston, cam. i couldnt tell you the cost though but just trying to give a few things you could do to wake her up a lil.

Thanks Eiger4x4, I don't know if I will have enough for a big bore kit but have been thinking pipe, air cleaner, jetting, clutch kit. How much improvement would I see from those things-15 maybe 20% increase. Any suggestions on which pipe would be great, Hopefully not the loudest possible I like the sound but makes it harder to use hunting in the fall if it is too loud..
